We want to know how you really feel about this time of year. Is this hands down your favorite time of year, or do you get struck with holiday depression.
We often think of the holiday season as a time of joy, love, and laughter. December is just around the corner and we’ve strung our holidays lights around our homes, making our neighborhoods look like a thousand gingerbread homes ablaze with festive spirit. Ho, ho, ho!
While the world around us would have us believe that there’s nothing more delightful than the holiday season, for many people, that’s not the case for everyone.
And it can be super easy to feel more like the Grinch than Santa.
For people who suffer from a prolonged bout of holiday depression, this time of the year can be rough. Maybe you’re going through something that may prevent you from keeping a smile plastered across your face until New Year’s Eve. Perhaps you don’t feel like spending tons of money on gifts that feel like obligations. Or maybe the social media posts of a bunch of allegedly perfect families are driving you to reach for the eggnog.

Of course, not everyone feels this way. For some people, the holidays immediately put a smile on their faces. What’s better than warm-knit sweaters, twinkling lights, ice skating and hot cocoa by the fire with the people you love?
It’s a matter of perspective.
