Did you know that nearly a quarter of Americans admit to having not read a book in 2017? According to Pew Research, that includes all forms of books: print, audio, and electronic.
Interestingly, the research also shows that a younger demographic is more likely to have read a book. Of Americans over 50 years old, 28 percent hadn’t read a book. When looking at Americans younger than 50, that percentage dropped to just 20 percent.
Nobody needs to argue the fact that reading is one of the most important ways to keep an agile brain. In fact, it’s been widely reported that the one thing all successful people have in common is the amount that they read. Not only are they constantly exercising their brains, receiving new information, and broadening their horizons… They’re also setting goals to accomplish a task – an important life skill.
In today’s polls, we want to know about your reading habits. How often do you read books? What’s your preferred platform for consuming books: audio, print, or e-books? When it comes to what books, what’s your preferred genre?
