If you look at the Instagram feed of some mid-twenty millennials, it would seem that the Pumpkin Spice Latte is the most famous Influencer out there. Held in the hand of a beautiful model against the backdrop of autumn leaves, sipped between friends outside of a local cafe with the farmers market blurred in the background… Such is the nature of the very photogenic PSL.
And because the Pumpkin Spice Latte has such an amazing reputation amongst its consumers, Starbucks brought it back early this year. Like a month before fall even began, early. Some customers rushed to the coffee shop to get a piping hot venti topped with whipped cream, while others opted for the iced version of the drink (now available with cold foam for a twist).
But is the Pumpkin Spice Latte really all that popular? Do people love it as much as the internet would lead us to believe they do?
We asked our members how they felt about the drink. Here’s the results.
As you can see, the PSL is not as unanimously loved as one might suspect. Sure, a quarter of respondents think it’s the bees knees. An equal amount of people like it and hate it, and the biggest proportion of people think it’s an overrated beverage.
